Crowns, Bridges, and Restorative Dentistry

Crown and BridgeThe latest in porcelain and composite, as well as classic gold are available to restore teeth that are cracked, worn or heavily filled with silver-mercury amalgams. Small and medium size areas of decay are treated with composite (tooth colored filling). Porcelain inlays, onlays, and partial crowns are used when larger amounts of the tooth are missing. These “bonded” restorations help restore strength to the remaining tooth structures, helping to prevent tooth fracture and the need for crowns later in life.

Crowns are also placed on teeth that are in need of total support and coverage. Gold and the latest Zirconium and Emax porcelain provide long-lasting strong service for the compromised tooth.

Missing teeth can be replaced with a fixed cemented bridge using your remaining teeth or dental implants for support. All options will be presented at your comprehensive exam.
